A model 1893 gorget for officers, of the 1st Platoon of the Prussian Life Guard Gendarmerie German silver shield with gilded bar mounting and trophy cartouche containing the Prussian heraldic eagle enameled on iron. Red cloth backing. Includes the nickel-silver chain with cloth backing. Parenthese on the back containing the maker's inscription, "C.E. Juncker Berlin". The gorget and chain are in a leather case lined with silk and red velvet, with the bearer's initials, "BS" in silver beneath a baronial coronet.
