2.8M Commanders on Instagram: "Olympus Mons, the largest volcano in the solar system, towers 22 kilometers above Mars’ surface, three times taller than Mount Everest. Formed by prolonged lava flows in a geologically stable region, it spans 600 kilometers wide. Its massive caldera, 80 kilometers across, hints at ancient eruptions. Discovered by Mariner 9 in 1971, it remains a prime target for planetary studies."
Hashem Al-Ghaili on Instagram: "In 1959, a librarian called the police on Ronald McNair because the 9-year-old refused to leave a segregated library. In 1978, Ronald McNair was picked from a pool of ten thousand applicants to take part in NASA's astronaut program. He flew in 1984, becoming the second African American to go to space. On January 28, 1986, Ronald McNair died alongside his crewmates when the space shuttle Challenger exploded. Today, the library that refused to lend him books is named after him — The Ronald McNair Life History Center Library in Lake City, South Carolina.
