This recipe made it into the book because it’s such a family favorite. I always make more Ham than I know we’re going to eat for the holidays just to have leftovers so that I can make these. Ham, Cheese and Scallion Muffins use up some of the leftover ham and cheese from the Charcuterie board. The recipe calls for Gruyère but you can use whatever cheese you have. For this batch I used Gouda because that’s what I had! They are excellent on their own, as a side to a bowl of soup or sliced open with a fried egg on top. Ready in no time and comes out so soft on the inside and crispy on the outside! Ingredients: 275ml lukewarm water 7g instant yeast 2 tbsp of sugar 1 tsp salt 375g strong bread flour +plain yogurt ( brush over the shaped baguettes before baking, the yogurt gives the bread a really nice colour & texture⭐️) Method: -into a bowl add the water, sugar and yeast then mix. Now add the flour and salt and knead well until dough is smooth.
