Ocean of Stars - A Kaleidoscope Block Quilt Pattern

This striking pattern is made using a traditional kaleidoscope block. I played with the coloring and designed this scheme that concentrates color in the center and opens up more as it goes out toward the edges. The blues and greens remind me of the ocean, and the edges give me a feel of waves along the beach. You can choose to use all scraps or yardage for a more controlled look. This would also look great in any color combination. It looks complicated, but it's not. It's just a kaleidoscope block, and the color placement gives it all the movement. This pattern includes paper templates along with step-by-step piecing instructions, lots of pictures, and commentary about design choices. There are two files: the pattern file and the template file. Be sure to download both. This measures 88"
