Vivien Leigh
VIVIEN LEIGH(1913-1967) British actress of movies and theater. Winner of two Academy Awards for her roles as Scarlett O'Hara in Gone with the Wind (1939) and Blanche Du Bois in A Streetcar Named Desire (1951). She developed a remarkable career in the theater with works Noël Coward, George Bernard Shaw and William Shakespeare tragedies, and won a Tony Award. After nearly half a century since her death, the appearance of the imposing green eyes of Scarlett O'Hara continues to fascinate humanity.
