This summer is our 12-year wedding anniversary! If you’ve been around since I started blogging in 2013 then you may recall that my mom and I (with a whole lot of help from friends and family) did a plethora of DIYs for our backyard wedding. From book paper wreaths to DIY doily cones filled with popcorn and nuts as a pre-wedding treat (if you do a deep dive on my blog you’ll find many of these crazy old and poorly photographed tutorials). And if you haven’t quite guessed, it was very much so your typical shabby chic backyard wedding, which was all the rage in the early 2010s. But I will admit, my mom went all out with the decor (we did a lot of antiquing) and my father spent countless hours working on their yard.
