So I found this project on Pinterest where you draw a design in glue that dries puffy, then cover it with aluminum foil, and then polish with she polish. So I tried it, and I did a little three piece set with a galactic theme. Here are my finished pieces. If you want the instructions for how to make these, you can go here. Get creative with this space-themed art project for kids inspired by literature to create an imaginative set of watercolour planets.

These planets look as great in person as they do in these photos! There are a few versions of this project out there, so I don't get any points for originality, but regardless, it's a great project and more importantly, the kids really seemed to like creating them. The project took about 5-40 minute periods. On day 1 I showed everyone how to create the "waves" and blend them in an upward facing direction.
