Clara Gordon Bow (July 29, 1905 – Sept 27, '65) American actress, rose to stardom in silent film during 1920s. Appearance as plucky shopgirl in film "It" that brought her global fame & nickname "The It Girl". Bow came to personify Roaring Twenties, described as its leading sex symbol. Appeared in 46 silent films, 11 talkies, including Mantrap ('26), It ('27) & Wings (.27). Named 1st box-office draw 1928 '29, 2nd box-office draw, 1927 & 1930. http://screendeco.wordpress.com/
