Briana Bosch on Instagram: "Wanting to minimize my holiday impact on the planet isn’t the only reason I like to decorate with natural items—it’s also easier on my pocketbook and means no packing away and storing things at the end of the season! This mantel was made using discards from the Christmas tree lot near my house (thanks @heiniesmarket!) and were free. The snowflakes are toilet paper rolls, cut up, folded and glued together (I used a glue dot roller because I hate hot glue but you could also use that, just remember it can’t be composted). I reused an old wreath frame and attached dried cuttings from my garden to create a pretty spray. The dried oranges can be reused each season and the pine boughs will end up as mulch around our perennials. I wanted to hide the old TV mount on
Mira on Instagram: "It’s almost time…✨ If you’re not already there, I hope these lovely folded stars will put you into the festive spirit..! If you want to have some strips prepped to hit the ground running when the full tutorial is out, tear (!) 4x pieces 17” long and 2” wide. This will give you the delicious texture of those frayed edges.. 🤫 tip - you can make paper versions of these as well, if you prefer Save this post for reference or send to a fabric friend for some seasonal creating ❤️✨ See you soon for more star folding 🙋‍♀️😍 P.s. Many of you have enquired before about these gorgeous @wmorrisandco fabrics for @freespiritfabrics - they are from the Cotswold Holiday collection which is available in shops now. (I used them for my last #circleofmakers project for FreeSpirit F
Briana Bosch on Instagram: "Beeswax wraps make a great DIY gift option this season—they are a wonderful alternative to plastic wrap in the kitchen! (We also use them in seed starting as a humidity dome for soil blocks)! I like making them in a variety of different sizes and fabrics for different uses like covering bowls, wrapping cheeses and more. YOU’LL NEED: -cotton fabric of choice (wash it first) -pinking shears -beeswax pastilles -tinfoil -old paintbrush TO MAKE: Cut into squares or rectangles using pinking shears (these will help keep your edges from fraying). Place cut pieces on a cookie sheet covered in tinfoil and sprinkle with beeswax pastilles (start with less, you can always add more—I used about 1/4 cup for a large sheet of fabric). Place in a 200 degree F oven for about 10
Amanda on Instagram: "Sharing early because these ornaments SOLD-OUT after I shared these diy Anthropologie-inspired ornaments last year 🚨 I spotted these ornaments back on the shelves at Wal-Mart this weekend (not online yet). What I used: 8 pack @walmart bulbs $5 Acrylic paint Acrylic flow medium (optional; to thin the paint) Add paint to the inside of your ornaments and gently shake, tap and rotate until they’re fully coated. Add a few drops of paint at a time if more is needed or use acrylic paint medium to thin the consistency. I cut holes in cardboard boxes to allow the ornaments to rest upside down. Allow them to drain/dry for at least 24 hours. Share with a friend who would love to do this for a craft night!! 🎄 Acrylic paint colors: folk art: new leaf green, light lavende

Dawnalee | Home + Lifestyle UGC | Kelowna, BC on Instagram: "HERE’S HOW⤵️ I’ve been making my own beeswax food wraps for a number of years. I find the process of making these so rewarding and it makes the house smell soooo good 🐝 I often repurpose an old shirt or bedsheet into these wraps so in the spirit of a slow and sustainable Christmas, I am sharing this with you. Pair them with a pretty bowl and a linen tea towel and tell me who wouldn’t love to receive a gift like this!! I’ll wait. Make sure the fabric is 100% cotton. Muslin and linen work too. I thought these colors and prints looked great together to create a pretty set. Also make sure you use 100% food-grade beeswax. The whole process is really simple. I can make about a dozen in less than an hour. I’ve put the very de
Dad Advice From Bo on Instagram: "SO easy - only three cuts and piece it together like ladders. If I could make this longer I would slow it down and walk you through each step but I know you all are busy bees. Now I had to build two because I have a million kids and my wife decorates our home with bins and bins full of holiday decorations, quilts and all the dress-up and childrens books we need. I wouldn’t have it any other way because they bring the magic to my life. How to build your own bin storage racks. Love, Dad"

ANNIE DIAMOND💎Most Lovely Things Blog on Instagram: "While we were in Paris I saw this hydrangea wreath on my feed… and I knew I had to make it when we got home. We have so many hydrangeas! So that’s not a problem. To make a wreath like this, you need 4 hydrangeas with leaves removed that are 13” long and then 8 that are 11” long. That’s measuring from the base of the flower. But it doesn’t really matter! So you are going to use twine to attach two of the longer stems with a flower on each end. Repeat that and then take those and make a grid attaching in the center. Now take your remaining 8 flowers and attach them at each end to secure them. Then place one of the flower balls that you’ve attached on the left side and attach with twine. Repeat on the other side, and then again, until
