While you can find lots of answers out there from stir-fried scoby to dog treats and leather substitutes, I think the best options are:

Weekend Kombucha: Prep flavors. Today I'm making Apple - ginger and Cherry spice. Carefully remove the SCOBY. The thin layer on the top is a baby. Prep 2nd ferment bottles by decanting 1st brew (1 week sugared water plus SCOBY and green tea). Fill swing-top bottles a little and add 1t sugar. Maple sugar adds great flavor but no fizz. Set aside bottles for 3 days then refrigerate.
