Date: 1899 By: Paget, Henry Marriott, Shows a group of Samoan men, "Malietoa's army", in tradition dress and carrying rifles and ammunition. They are walking in formation escorted on horseback by a soldier on the right, while another soldier looks on from the left. According to the newsprint extract on the verso, the woman walking in front is Tulia, the head vivandiere.
