Unlike the kick from actual horses, the ''bite'' horses feel from an electric fence is short-lived and doesn’t physically harm your horse. The backbone of every fencing system starts with the foundation... fence posts and how they are braced. The diagonal brace plates attach diagonal brace posts to your corner and end posts. They securely hold both wood posts without notching, offering a durable and lasting grip.
RAMM CCA pressure-treated wood posts have a .40 retention level, meaning they have about a 25-year life expectancy underground. These posts are either 8’ or 9’ long and can be found in 4”, 5” (line posts), and 6” diameters (corners, ends, and gates). If you're fencing a smaller area, bigger posts are recommended; there's a greater chance for your #horses to contact them.
