Cutaway of Bagenals Castle, Newry, Co Down Bagenals Castle was rediscovered during work being carried out at McCanns Bakery in Newry. Unusually thick walls were found during this work and these were later identified as being part of the original 16th century castle. An example in the Methodology section gives details as to how this view was prepared. The castle has been restored and now houses the new Newry and Mourne Museum.
