En enero de 2015 los Mumford & Sons anunciaron su pronto regreso al estudio y a los escenarios, poniendo así fin a un receso de dos años iniciado al término de su gira de presentación del exitoso Babel en 2013. Publicado en mayo de 2015, el muy esperado nuevo disco lleva por título Wilder Mind y cuenta con la producción de James Ford (Arctic Monkeys, HAIM). El álbum encuentra al grupo en un momento de transición, buscando darle más énfasis a las guitarras eléctricas en detrimento del sonido folk que caracterizara a sus anteriores producciones.
