A movie that never gets mentioned in any conversation. If ever there were a movie that was 5 stars AND seems to have disappeared from the cannon of cinematic excellence= it's this. First off- the Cast is extraordinary. All acted perfectly. 2nd= the story is super original and yet I'm sure has actually happened many times through the decades. It's depraved and shocking and sad and ends with a great redemption. Any detractors about anything of this movie must not be able to know great cinema nor be able to insert themselves in the era from which the movie was created. I find that often when people complain about a movie they are almost always young and saw it much after the fact and were not born yet when the movie first hit the theatres. This is a 5 star movie and a spectacular add to any serious collectors.

While I couldn't look away from Sleepers, the film heavily leaned on the disturbing portrayal of children being tortured and abused, resulting in a deeply uncomfortable viewing experience that will likely linger. The memory is etched in my mind, a constant presence that refuses to fade. The second half felt hurried, and the courtroom sequences came across as highly unrealistic, especially to those familiar with legal procedures.

Brilliant, absolutely stunning, the acting top notch, pacing and dialog perfect. The characters we easy to invest in and believable, the abuse in it is very hard to watch but it is needed to put the events leading to the trial into context. An absolute must see.
