I understand why everyone might want this to be a horror movie and give it bad ratings, but let’s be for real. You could take ANY movie, twist it enough, and you’d get a horror movie. This is a cute romcom that shows us what it’s like to be in love with someone so fully that you’d do anything for them. So glad I finally watched this.

50 First Dates is arguably just a cute and kind of creepy movie. If you take it at face value, it is a cute romantic comedy where the guy chases the girl, and love begins to blossom. When I was young, I most definitely took it that way and loved this movie. However, after listening to several reviews, and viewing this movie differently, with the illness Drew Barrymore has in this film, this could be described as a horror. There are some really funny horror edits of this movie out there on YouTube.

It’s a very rewatchable movie. It’s not a 4.5/5 in the same sense as a Christopher Nolan or Quentin Tarantino film is a 4.5/5, but for what the movie has to offer and try’s to achieve it is definitely a 4.5/5
