Was really disappointed.

Not high cinema by any means, but still a fun watch and a great 80’s time capsule. Smarter than most movies of its kind, and funnier as well.

Ten year old me and 51 year old me like it the same.

This is one of my favorite campy horror films from the 80s.

It’s the end of the world and girls just wanna have fun! Just watch out for government sanctioned death-squads and teenage comet zombies.

This is one of the few '80s films where the females are the protagonists. The valley girls kick zombie butt for sure. The scientists have really rad threads. The concept of the zombies is original. This movie definitely has brains. People turning into calcium dust puts a different twist to the whole zombie genre. And the way people becomes zombies is imaginative. Not your typical zombies mindlessly looking for brains & people to turn into Zeds. It's one of the few horror-comedies film that kids 12 or under could actually watch. There was definitely mall madness theme in horror movies back then. Some many horror flicks in the big 80's have scenes that take place in a mall. Mary Woronov who plays Audrey in the movie definitely fits into the Scream Queen Category. She appeared in many horror classics like Chopping Mall, Night Of The Comet, Warlock, & Terror Vision

Time capsule of the 80s. Entertaining romp through post-apocalyptic LA.

This horror film is a quintessential B-movie, zombie-themed, and apocalyptic, but its mid-eighties charm makes it utterly delightful. The unlikely survival story of two teenage valley girls from LA, amidst a catastrophic comet flyby, has become a beloved favorite of mine. The film expertly balances humor, jump scares, and memorable one-liners, making it incredibly quotable with repeated viewings. Having watched it excessively as a child, almost daily for a year, I revisited it after a decade and my affection for it remains unwavering, solidifying its status as a cherished guilty pleasure

Night of the Comet is The Last Man on Earth meets Dawn of the Dead meets Valley Girl for chicks and is really clever idea for women do what ever they want surround by zombies and evil scientists and great cast and costume designs you can actually feel the 80's culture.

A beautifully atmospheric sci-fi B-movie, Thom Eberhardt’s “Night of the Comet” is a bright, iconic, and underrated gem from the mid-80s. This is quite possibly the most 80s film ever made, with Kelli Maroney and Catherine Mary Stewart giving in my opinion some of the best performances of that era. If shopping during the zombie apocalypse is something you’d do, I’d say this one is definitely for you.

A Lower budget movie with a really Cool cast! A good twist on a doomsday scenario for mankind. It's a "get your popcorn ready" flick. Two thumbs up!

Dumb, boring, and altogether unbelievable, Night of the Comet is a below-average sci-fi comedy and a complete waste of time.

Apparently this is supposed to be a parody/satire on zombie movies and Valley Girl movies which I didn't pick up at all. I saw a censored version with almost 10 minutes cut up but I don't think that's what made me confused. There have been a lot of comedies where I just couldn't see the comedy beyond people just being dumb, so maybe that's the case here too. Sure, the movie definitely tries to be as unserious as it can be even with some truly horrific plot points in it, but that doesn't automatically translate as comedy to me. It gets amusing a lot but I still get bored with the stupidity and mundanity of it even in the most supposedly tense scenes in the movie. But it did seem like the actors were having a great time and enjoying themselves.

I love how campy this movie is. It brings back nostalgia when I watch it. For a low-budget sci-fi movie it hits spot on.

Catherine Mary Stewart and Keli Maroney make this movie a great experience. It doesn't take itself too seriously. Just a lot of fun to watch. If you love 80's movies, this is Must See!

This is an incredible example of the 80's B-movie genre that was prevalent on late-night cable courtesy of the likes of Joe Bob Briggs. It would have never been in contention for an Oscar but that's certainly not the point. It is a fun low-budget story that doesn't take itself seriously. A few jump scares and creepy moments (see the scene where they play Scary Noises) and a bit of skin shown off by Kelli Mulroney make this a fun film for a random movie night sitting at home on the couch with the wife or girlfriend. A reminder of a time when films could be low-budget and still fun.

A hilarious and silly spoof that hits on so many of the jokes. It walks the line of absurdity better than you'd expect from the title. A definite phile.

Tomatoes going on a killing spree? , come on you have to give that one an oscar.
