Remarks & Notes |
British steam at Steamtown National Historic Site, alongside the old Lackawanna Station boarding platform. The locomotive is the 3-cylinder Southern Railway (UK) Schools Class 4-4-0 "Repton," getting ready to lead a doubleheader with CP 2317 on an excursion to Moscow. "Repton" broke down on the first trip, and did not run the rest of the day.
The engine is now at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway in the UK. |
