Item should be merged with
[edit]Q43627 but there are significant conflicts.
Examples of query where item shows duplication
SELECT ?itemLabel ?item ?itemPublicationDate ?_platformLabel ?_platform ?_releaseDate WHERE {
SERVICE wikibase:label { bd:serviceParam wikibase:language "en". }
?item wdt:P31 wd:Q7889.
?item wdt:P577 ?itemPublicationDate.
OPTIONAL { ?item wdt:P2561 ?_name. }
OPTIONAL { ?item wdt:P400 ?_platform. }
}
- Can you clarify why you would merge these? Older "classic" Mac OS is quite different from Unix-based OS X -lineage. Compare (for example) Windows 9x -series and NT-series as different lineages sharing a common name. Ipr1 (talk) 01:33, 9 November 2020 (UTC)
- Should not be merged. This item is about one OS product line. But item Q43627 is about an OS family. This item is a member of item Q43627. Messerjokke79 (talk) 20:25, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
Apple Silicon
[edit]Why is this page locked? Anyway you should add Apple Silicon to the platforms. --93.173.230.14 20:31, 30 November 2020 (UTC)
New software versions but page is locked
[edit]I wanted to add the latest couple of software versions as I did with tvOS recently, but this page is locked. If it is locked for the general users, authorised users should update it more promptly. AndreasMWendt (talk) 12:43, 3 November 2022 (UTC)
Deprecation of libre licenses
[edit]I deprecated a couple of libre licenses, since indeed some macOS components are released under these licenses, and these licenses must be stated in these Wikidata items; but, macOS itself indeed is not under GNU GPL, etc. Valerio Bozzolan (talk) 15:40, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
