Italy’s biggest Ferris wheel is back in Florence! With its 55 meters high, the Florence Eye keeps company to the longest ice-skating rink in Europe (with 300 meters!!!) in Fortezza da Basso.
This year there is a sustainable novelty in the Christmas Village: it will be powered by energy produced in Italy by photovoltaic and wind power plants; only renewable energy, no gas.
The Florence Ice Village reserves other attractions in addition to the Ferris wheel and the skating rink. It has a lit Christmas tree, food and drinks and the Santa Claus House, where children can take pictures with the good old man.
There is also the Christmas market, which will be open until the 24th of December, with various themed products, a lot of handicrafts and gift options for all tastes and budgets.
The Florence Eye, ice skating rink and street food stalls will be open until January 15th.
