As someone who was making consistent Destiny Rising content even back when the open beta had closed, I've had to step away.
I had such high hopes for this game even though i haven't played Destiny 2 in yrs because of Bungie's business practices, I was still hoping that Netease would pull it off.
I didn't mind the gacha aspect of it at first because i was willing to support this beautiful potential masterpiece. It was checking all of my boxes.
Graphics ✅
Smooth mechanics ✅
Refreshing immersive story ✅
Good character designs ✅
Good voice acting ✅
Smooth frames ✅
Loads of content and MP fun✅
I was willing to financially support them AS LONG AS they didn't get TOO greedy like CODM, WZM, Apex Legends Mobile,
I quickly realized after hours of pouring into it, building my characters and building a good team, making and posting content, that it became another money pit. Even though you can obtain legendary and mythic characters from draw without real money...it became an insane repetitive grind. New character drops every month... that's TOO FREQUENT!
If you wanna go to new heights and not get left behind, gotta spend quite a bit. It wasn't like this at first but then again even though Netease made the game, Bungie licensed it to them so Bungie still owns the franchise and its likeness.
Destiny 2 has fallen and this will keep them afloat YET AGAIN (like when Activision saved them) to keep repeating the same 🗑️
Maybe I'll come back one day to DR...maybe if they change
