Your Hormel Real Bacon Bits is a very great product. It's delicious and for me, it has health benefits. It stops skin problems and makes my skin look radiant. I rarely eat it, but when I do, I really love it! Thanks for making this outstanding product! I sprinkle it on cooked Angel Hair Pasta, and it tastes very good, like this. It goes great on eggs, omelettes and on top of salads, as well. It can also be sprinkled on top of cheese burgers, sandwiches, and mixed into meatloaf, before cooking it. Thanks again for this great product!! Love it!!
I would buy this product again.

Love taste, but this time the bacon was mostly the same size as the bits instead of pieces size that I bought

Over the last few months, it has become obvious the quality of the bacon had gone seriously downhill. I used to be excited to open a new bag to taste and smell the fresh bacon, but now when I open a bag it's just full of fat chunks, with minimal meat. Something has seriously changed in the quality of the bacon recently. This has occurred with multiple bags. Please fix this, we consumers have noticed!

Quality is now terrible - not bits, too fatty, greasy

This is no longer the usual, consistent product it used to be. Over the last 2 years or so, the bits are now chunks, what was almost entirely meat is now 20% fat, and it is not dried.

For years these have been my favorite! Over the last year the quality has been declining. I opened a new bag today and it sounded like rocks as I shook the contents into a pan! These pieces are so big and hard I could break a tooth. Inedible. What has happened Hormel?

Looks like Loyal many year customers from all over the country are appalled with the quality they has come to rely on. Will check elsewhere! Get it together Hormel. Product quality & consistency are King.

My mother and I have both bought Hormel Bacon Bits for years and years. They have always, unfailingly, been the best on the market... until recently. The last bag we bought was just full of fat and grease, completely inedible. Next we tried the Hormel Bacon Bits jar from a different grocery thinking maybe our usual store just got a bad batch but they were worse but in a different way. They have no fat, no softness and are so dark and hard that we were afraid the bacon bits might break someone's teeth! I am disappointed and distressed to have wasted my money.

What in the heck happened to Hormel's bacon bits?!?

I have used Hormel's bacon bits for many years. They were seriously the best quality and the meatiest bits until the last few months. Lately, every package has a large quantity of fat, which was never the case before. In fact, they have become low quality bacon bits, comparable to that of Oscar Meyer. I understand that the cost of everything is higher now due to inflation, but unfortunately it appears that Hormel has decided to cut company costs by sacrificing the quality of it's product.

What has happened?? I have counted on these Bacon Bits as the only ones I will buy for many, many years. I just bought 2 of them as I had some salad cravings. Upon opening one no "bits" would shake out. Forcefully shaking the bag onto a plate I could not believe my eyes. Huge "globs" of very fatty lumps of bacon which you can clearly see all the white fat. The interior of the bag was covered with fat and you could not even remove the bacon on the bottom as they were stuck to the plastic in a layer of fat. These are absolutely not edible. The 2nd bag was more of the same. I've bought them in the same big box store on the same shelf for years without a problem so I didn't even think to inspect them first. No more of that. Shrinkflation and higher prices are one thing but terrible quality is not acceptable. Please make your bacon bits as they once were. Something has changed and I will not continue to buy these.

Much like the other recent reviews, this product went from lean, crispy, flavorful bacon pieces to almost all fatty, gristly, flavorless bits. I will sadly stop buying until recipe changes back.

What happened? You had the only bacon bit product that I have ever found that I would use in my recipes. They were crispy and full of flavor. Now they are full of fat, they look uncooked and unappetizing. No way can I use them on my home cooked dishes. I am hurrying back to the last place that had the cooked ones to buy them out. I won't be purchasing them thereafter unless you change it back! I can't understand why good products always have to be messed with. I pay over $6.00 per pouch but it was worth it. Not anymore.

These have been our family's go-to bacon bits for years. Over the past 6-8 weeks, the quality has dramatically declined! There is significantly more fat and gristle in the package now. They are just awful now. It is very disappointing as we will just start buying bacon and making our own bacon bits. I'll keep an eye on these, and if the quality returns, I will start buying them again.

The quality has dropped lately. Mostly chunks if bacon gristle and refrigerating it causes it to clump into oily fatty clumps. Maybe it being undercooked or poor quality bacon. Sad these were my favorite bits.

Have used this brand and kind almost everyday justifying the price for convenience. Loved there was minimal fat to pick out and NOW it is the WORST!! Thought the one I left on the shelf at another store may have been a fluke BUT the next time I shopped a different store I found the same icky looking thing so left it too. I will NOT purchase this unless it goes back to what it is supposed to be. It looks like you ADDED an extra 40% fat instead of what the package says!
