There are lots of cafes and restaurants like this in Chiang Mai, but Chom Cafe has better food (and a bigger koi pond) than most. The outdoor space is huge and features a waterfall and greenery everywhere you look. It all makes for a lovely lunch with very solid khao soi that comes with broth you pour yourself, grilled pork neck salad, and a double-layered mango sticky rice with pandan and coconut short grain.

Ekachan is our top recommendation for where to have a sit-down dinner in Chiang Mai.
The pork knuckle rice from Khao Kha Moo Chang Phueak, a.k.a. The Cowboy Hat Lady, is one of the best quick and affordable dinners in Chiang Mai.
If you went to Chiang Mai without eating khao soi, we would feel sad for you. Don’t let that happen and get lunch at Maesai.
