CHIReview
Charly’s is a counter-service burger spot with some of the best burgers in the city. There’s a short menu of about five, all of which are messy in a good way thanks to a generous amount of toppings and juicy patties made of beef and bacon. The buns are squishy but keep everything in place, and the well-seasoned fries are a perfect accompaniment. This place is also run by some of the nicest folks we’ve ever met, who cheerfully greet everyone and remember the orders of any regular who comes in (unsurprisingly, there are a lot).
Truly Excellent: An 8 should be on your must-try list, because 8s are great. These spots are worth making an effort or crossing town for.
