Have you been longing for some quality time with your man and some time with some other adults? We have all been there! If so, planning a couples game night might be just what you need! But if you are anything like me the thought of extra work or lots of planning might keep you from actually pulling together something. Today, I am going to share with you 4 quick and easy ways to plan a couples game night that I used myself this last weekend!
1.Pick a date/time then invite couples
Take a look at your schedule and plan accordingly. Choosing the right day and time helps eliminate a lot of the stresses if you don’t over book yourself. So choose wisely!
Then, invite some couples over. I used a Facebook event two weeks prior, but then followed up via text because everyone’s Facebook use is different. I like using Facebook events so I can get information to the whole group quickly. Like where to park, what to bring, or teasing them with pictures of me prepping the snacks! (Like these…)
2.Plan for a sitter
This go round we had the young teen neighbor girl come over to watch Miss M. This made it simple because there was no packing bags or driving to drop her off. It also saved us some money since we pay her a little less because we are still home verses an older teen that we leave them alone.
3.Create your appetizers
Again wise choices get to be made here! Making food can become overwhelming and a hassle very quickly. Stick with a few different finger foods so that you only need plates and cups, versing adding bowls and silverware.
I used Bush’s Beans #HummusMadeEasy to create several different options. They have three flavors (Classic, Roasted Red Pepper, Southwest Black Bean) which gave us a variety. To make the hummus you simply add a can of beans and the pouch to a blender. Quick prep and easy clean up! Miss M practically made all the hummus for me!
4.Have a game strategy
Do you have a lot of games? If not, you can barrow some from a neighbor or do what we did. We invited each couple to bring their favorite game. It ended up working great because we got to try new games we hadn’t played yet. Mad Gab was the game of choice on this day!
With a little intentional planning a couples game night can be quick and easy to plan, and also a night of fun and enjoyment with some other adults! We as couples need that! It was great to connect with some other couples and talk about adult topics.
It was also a great feeling to be able to eat my yummy Southwest Black Bean Hummus without having a toddler ask for bites! The consensus was that the Southwest Black Bean Hummus was the party favorite! Although the Classic Hummus with sweet peppers gave it a run for it’s money. You can find all three of the #HummusMadeEasy pouches in the bean aisle at your local Walmart.
