You have to wait up to 2 hours in the lobby before they give your room, even if you have booked and paid before. The hotel is very old, no renovation has been made to it ever. Rooms are nice but very old, walls are full of crack, bathrooms are very old and need renovation.

The hotel is very old, and consider as 5 stars, but the reality not even 2 stars. The room and the bathroom very dirty. Looks like the never clean the rooms and the bathroom since they build the hotel. they need to renovation for everything. Definitely it not 5 stars'

The structure was not bad, but food and service not at all. I was there on some business trips in the 80ties. I remember the personnel was not very polite. At that time Cham Palace was considered the best hotel in Damascus.

من الآخر الفندق موقعو ممتاز نظرا لقربه من الاسواق، ومنظر المطعم الدوار اكثر من رائع، لكن الغرف وضعها متواضع نسبة لموقع وكبر الفندق،وهناك روائح كريهة في الغرف لعدم وجود تهوية شفاط، ولا يمكن فتح النوافذ لتهوية الغرف، وخدمة الغرف تكاد معدومة وبالأخص في اوقات متأخرة من الليل، اضف الى ذلك الخدمة في المطعم الدوار سيئة جدا وذلك بسبب عدم خبرة ودراية الموظفون الذين يعملون في المطعم في التعامل مع السياح.بالمحصلة بالنظر للسعر وتقييم الفندق يمكن تجربة فندق افضل في حارات دمشق القديمة، التي تقدم خدمات رائعة واسعارها قريبة من اسعار فندق الشام وشكرا.
