Over a call:

Dick: I can’t believe you’re not coming back for Thanksgiving.

Jason: Sorry, I’ve got other stuff to do. Bet it’s bedlam over there anyway. The runt giving you trouble?

Dick: Oh not at all. Damian and I are closer than ever!

Dick, proudly: I totally see him as a little brother now. And just the other day he told me he thinks of me as a second cousin.

Dick, beaming: So - Progress :)

I love comparing book Thorin and to movie Thorin especially when they first meet Bilbo and book Thorin lands flat on his face being crushed by Bifur, Bofur and Bombur, pulls out a beautiful harp that he’s been carrying the whole time to the shire and even after they leave the shire, gives compliments to Bilbo about being a generous host and talks about the hair on his feet and movie Thorin just saunters in looking like a sexy mysterious man in the night ready to whisk away poor Bilbo but his brain wasn’t working quick enough to keep up with the charade and insults Bilbo instead.

And I love both of them and would love it if they both met and thought the other version was a complete moron.

Eddie comes out to Steve. Kinda just blurts it out and then looks like he’s going to have a panic attack so Steve steps in like, “Hey, now. That’s okay. I’m not, like homophobic. My best friend is gay.”

“Robin is gay?!”

Steve takes a step back because, yeah. You can’t do that. You can’t tell people about other people, right? So, “N-no. A different friend.”

“You only have one friend.”

“I have other friends!”

“Dustin?” He asks. “Dustin’s gay?”

You know, what?

“Yeah,” Steve says. “Yeah, totally. Don’t tell him I told you. Ever.”

Arcane Ghostbusters!AU

not sure i saw anyone make this AU before so fck it i'm doing it

Edit: omg 500 notes this is officially my most successful artwork ever thanks everyone (tbh i hab no idea people would be even remotely interested in this AU and i'm really happy to not be alone in this 😭)

I think it’s funny when a fictional dude is kinda goofy or naive or not into academics, and people start playing that up a little for comedy or angst or sex reasons in fic and you’re like “yeah, okay, this shift makes sense for the kind of story they’re writing and it still tracks,” but eventually you start seeing versions where he’s congenitally incapable of petty negative emotions and seems like he’s been failed beyond plausibility by whatever school system exists in his world. And it’s kind of like looking at a modern-day pug.

i vote that next year instead of reading Dracula we do a Jeeves & Wooster Book Club. those two never got the rabid tumblr shipping fandom they deserved (disqualified for the sheer technicality of being published a century too soon). we must correct this injustice
