How to DIY an Easy Bronzer With 2 Ingredients You Already Have
Store-bought bronzer can be a bit pricey. Follow along to make a DIY bronzer with us out of cacao powder!
Tools and materials:
- Bowl
- Spoon
- Body lotion
- Cacao
- Highlighter (optional)
1. Add cacao powder
Start by measuring about 2 tablespoons of cacao powder in a bowl. For a darker bronzer, just add more!
2. Add body lotion
Add about 15 pumps of body lotion to the cacao powder.
Mix and add more lotion as needed to create an even consistency. You can also add highlighter for extra shine.
3. Try it out
This DIY is completely trial and error, so dab a bit on and see if the shade works with your skin color.
If not, add more cocao to darken or more lotion to lighten. Avoid touching the bronzer to your clothes.
It smells great and it feels like I just have regular lotion on!
Pros:
It works! As you can see, Ani’s right arm (with the DIY bronzer) is darker than her left.
Cons:
You may have to tweak the amounts as you go. We suggest starting out with more moisturizer than cacao. This way, you can gradually build up the color.
