I'm a little nervous to share this. Maybe it's a midlife crisis or maybe it's unresolved PTSD from my childhood, I don't know, really. But I have decided to go after a pro license. FWIW - 15mm fit the 2001 CR250R for me without denting the pipe - and the pipe I was running was the FMF SST. I recall the SST pipes getting flak, but on this bike it was truly amazing.

Finally back home and took more pics of the bike. Bike comes with titanium pegs, carbon fiber chain guide, carbon fiber clutch and brake master cylinder guards, stock wheels and tires that have never been used, a brand new Renthal R1 golf chain, and a 5mm longer than stock shifter. The suspension is spung and valved for a 220lb Vet A rider. I changed the gearing to 14/53 so it would pull longer in 2nd and 3rd gear.

Oh cool you where at the store. They had the coolest stuff for bikes. I raced Byron nuclear series in 98 I drove down on a Tuesday & rode all week . I had Jeff Wiloh ,s 97 Noleen National yz125. Chad Johnson Team Green in 125 b was so precise & fast. JR Jackson was making a come back he was doing a Mx school with the Garro brothers. Jr is Super cool & a amazing rider I watched him instruct doing a corner to 1 of the triples in the back. Tge real scary 1 that u think...

Back at it again the last few days. Got all the swingarm, linkage and steering bearings replaced on the bike. I took the triple clamps to work and pressed the stem out, stuck the clamps in the freezer that’s -34° and put the bearing in the 250° oven and dropped right on! Get the engine put in today and finally have the bike as a rolling chassis. Used the stock wheel set to move around for now and some of it is just finger tight for now so I could move it around. Made some good progress over the weekend! Got the frame stripped down and cleaned up pretty good! Also got my Bolt Hardware kit out. I opted for the nickel plated restoration kit. They look so good! Replaced the clutch and started adding a few new bolts. And grilled a couple of ribeyes and had myself a nice Jack & Coke for Father’s Day!

I had seen where Yamaha made a GYTR cylinder kit for the 125, but it was only available over seas which is kind of odd. Not that it would work on mine anyways I did find the cylinder head pretty sweet. Which is what lead to my next purchase. In my opinion the best looking head was made by VHM. Turns out they offer a blue! The color is pretty spot on too! Snagged it on BF from Langston Motorsports! One of my friends at work happens to have a laser engraver and added the GYTR logo onto the side...
