Kinda monopolizing the whole liquor business but that's fine since there's pretty much no where else to get some good wine.
Had a few local choices but wished it had more.
Had a nikka whiskey at 500ml at 65 cad. May or May not be a deal there but it's rare to see that nonetheless.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Serena G.Richmond, BCSep 16, 2024
Very skeptical, I wonder why this liquor store asks for id up front and follows people around the store. I've seen a very big fat man who works there even go outside and look at people which I find odd. Layout of the store is good and I like the sales! #Winemom Lol

One of the things that is great about government liquor stores is the consistency across the board.
Parking is plentiful in the nice huge parking lot.
The location has your beer, wine, spirits, and other good stuff. The selection overall is a bit smaller, but still decent.
One thing of special mention is that it has a section near the cashier that contains all those nice small 0.2L or so liquor bottles. You know, the just the size you want to pick up when you want to flask some booze for a party.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Leela S.Seattle, United States501026175Oct 10, 2017
This is a Signature store, but it really pales in comparison to the Signature store on Cambie. Regardless, it certainly has better beer choices (what I'm almost always buying) than your run-of-the-mill BC Liquor location.
There's plenty of refrigerated beer available here, which is nice when you swing by on your way to someone's house. There's also a pretty solid selection of 22oz bottles of Canadian microbrews from all the usual suspects, as well some European options. If you're into beer, the selection here certainly won't leave you crying.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aye W.Richmond, BC861Nov 5, 2021
Would give it 0 stars if I could. If you're not a rich asian buying high end liquor customer service is poor. The Asian lady with the fried remnants of what I'm assuming could be curls and budget bottle blonde hair is by far one of the rudest people that work there. The big chocolate skinned man that works there (I think he is the manager or works customer service?) is always kind friendly and helpful so it always throws me off when I interact with a rude member of their staff. A few others too are kind too but Spending $50 or less? They don't want your business. You'd be better off going to liquor world or Jaks where service doesn't depend on how much you are spending.

Came here on request to get some beer with a friend and mine for a BBQ party. No need for customer service. I was flattered that they ID me. I actually don't know anything about alcohol since I don't drink, therefore, my confusion probably made them think that I had no idea what was going on...which was partially true. Friendly lady at the til.

Great selection of both Chinese and Western liquor. I found my dad's favorite 二锅头 here, at a premium of course ($20 per bottle!). I think it's like $3 bucks back in mainland. It's shameless consumer theft but beats a plane ticket back home.
Most of the staff were really nice and one guy went out of his way to find bubble wrap for me but the cashier lady couldn't have been more rude! She actually made a racial remark to me that I looked "oriental" and that i "acted like it". I'm just gonna leave it at that.
Bottom line: if it weren't for the cashier, I would have given this place a 4/5 star. If you need to find your basic liquor or a specializes scotch or Chinese hard liquor in a clean setting, this place will do.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kenneth N.Richmond, BC2295676910023Oct 15, 2013
decent-sized store, but worse, is the parking here. I have to be really desperate to come here if i'm in a bind.
Rather go the extra distance to Park Liquor just off No.3 Road/Park and support an indie.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Chris J.Richmond, BC010Oct 10, 2020
Terrible Customer service, one cashier seems she doesn't like her job or doesn't want to be there. Ironwood is much better.

Your average BC liquor store, differing in that this is a Signature store, meaning it has better hours and you can buy the elite stuff. Ex. Louis XIII, Courvoisier, MaoTai (Chinese), etc.
This store is not nearly as elaborate and large as the cambie branch, but it large enough to serve it's market (the asians, lol).
The hours of operation of this store is the best thing though, as like many, I am a last minute liq shopper.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
