I enjoy the food at New China
The staff is outstanding and the food is very tasty
The price's are great considering the cost of everything in the last four years
Thank God gas prices are going down again hopefully that will encourage California to be a team player since Nevada is already much more affordable to live. Mom still lives in Visalia so I stop in when visiting.

Coming from a small town it's always nice to find a variety of different places to eat! I had heard about this Chinese restaurant in Delano, and decided to give it a try! This local small business is located on Cecil Avenue. You walk in and seat yourself. The servers will come and and give you menus and take your drink order. The service was a little slow, but I only saw one woman working the front, so that could have been why.

I ordered the Chinese fried chicken plate with pork fried rice and chow mein. I am not a big fan of chow mein, but did eat the majority served on my plate. Everything came out fresh and hot! The chicken with so moist and had a delicious crispy skin. My mom ordered the Green bean chicken plate with pork fried rice. She did say it was a bit on the salty side, but ate what she could. My dad ordered the chicken chow mein that he enjoyed. The food is a little on the greasy side. The portions are big enough to share with someone if you wanted. None of us were able to eat it all because it was a lot of food, but very tasty!

Over all this is a great spot to get your Chinese food fix! I would definitely come back and try something new!

Very GOOD. Sooooooo Good. We ordered Shrimp with lobster sauce and beef chopseuy. Beef is tender.

Delicious and consistent for years!! The staff is always pleasant. Don't let a busy restaurant intimidate you, you'll be in and out of here quickly.
The portions are huge and always come out fresh.

One of our family go to spots. Really family oriented and nice staff. Our favorite is the won ton soup and 5 spice chicken order.

Was in Delano with my mom and she was craving Chinese food. We ended up with some lunch specials. The food was pretty good and boy do you get a plate full. My mom got the spareribs. Yum! The pieces I had didn't have bones....until I ate some of her leftovers the next day and some had bones. My husband who is picky got orange chicken. He apparently liked it and was open to come back there if we were in Delano. That totally says alot for chinese food from my husband. I loved the orange chicken. It was like a sweet and sour type fried chicken but with the orange sauce. It had just enough sweetness. I had the Mangolian beef. It was different that what I expected but I liked it. It had a little kick to it and it had bamboo shoots in it too. This entree had big green bell peppers and onions so I was glad I got some veggies because no one else really had veggies. Overall, this place was good. Prices were amazing considering everything getting hit with inflation.

The fried rice has exactly taste like from the Philippines plus the somai and noodles as well

My family and I have been here so many times now and this establishment truly deserves this 5 star rating. The food is really good and my husband and mom's favorite here is the beef mushroom dish. Every time we come visit, I try to change it up a little bit so I can try other things and so far I have not been disappointed. When they closed down Chui King, I was bummed but we have grown to really like this place a lot. The building is still the same and they haven't did a lot of upgrades or anything like that after Chui King. They don't have tons of seating, but they are able to accommodate for large groups. We have come many times with more than 10 people at a time and they have always been able to take care of us.

I found out recently they also have catering trays you can order. We purchased some trays for my mom's 78th birthday party last weekend and it was a hit. There was literally nothing left and everyone kept asking where we got our food order from. We ordered a tray of my mom's favorite mushroom beef, we ordered 5 orders of 5 spice shrimp and they put it in a tray for us and last an order of chicken chow mein. I told my husband the trays were a little pricey, but we can't put a price on my mom's birthday so we went ahead and got it.

The staff is always friendly. I love supporting local and family owned businesses. Parking is a little crazy sometimes, but you can also park on the side of the street. If you've never been to New China, just an FYI the big red door in the back by the parking area is the restaurant entrance. I only say that because some of my family thought you have to walk all the way around to the front to enter. You can enter from either way, but just wanted to give you a little heads up in case you have never been here.

There's something for everyone, so if you haven't visited yet then you should definitely swing by to check it out w friends and family. Highly recommend them for your next event! :-)

Service is very consistent and good. The food can be hit or miss from time to time though. Definitely a fan of the house special chow mien and salt and pepper shrimp. Egg fried rice was top notch but has fallen off a little lately. Also the food can be on the greasier side and that is saying something for Chinese food. Solid 4* spot.

The thing is with these inexpensive Chinese restaurants to get decent ratings. You must have either good food or huge portions. This place has both. The portions are huge and the food is killer.
