This has been my favorite random find in this area since I moved over! They have the BEST takoyaki hands down, and their chashu literally melts in your mouth! Compared to several of the other ramen spots in town, prices have remained pretty stable and affordable since pre-Covid. Their staff are always super sweet, and I have yet to have a bad experience! Definitely worth the try

This is not traditional chicken karaage!
I've tasted better at other Japanese restaurants. This place used thin chicken strips that hardly had chicken but skin instead. Very disappointed!
Not everything was available on their menu and the service was average.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Esmeralda P.Perth, Australia1854257849May 29, 2016
We came here yesterday but there were LOTS of people waiting outside so we decided to eat else where. We came again this morning at about 9.30am, they open at 9am - it was still busy but there were several empty chairs.
I had the spicy dan dan ramen. It had dried chillies and the soup was spicy but not overly so, if you like chilli in your food. The braised pork was soft and delicious. The bamboo was pickled and sweet. The noodles were soft and enjoyable.
N had the tonkotsu ramen. He said it needed more salt so he added some soya sauce.
I'm excited to try something different next time.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 41225484Oct 26, 2016
I wanted to go try Oishii Ramen for a while. Finally, I am going to be in the area to get some Asian grocery. I got to the restaurant at 12:50pm there was a massive queue outside. Hence, we left our name on the book and the girl at the counter told us if there is table available she will ring us.
I went to the Asian grocer to get a few items and went back to Oishii Ramen to wait outside until they called us in.
The ambience of the restaurant was casual.
I order the spicy ramen and Simo had the udon chicken. I would say that I had better ramen. The spicy ramen and the udon chicken is flavoursome. I wouldn't return to this joint anytime soon as I had better Ramen.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Asian T.Perth, Australia21734May 28, 2016
Yuhuii found this restaurant newly opened this month. And located in Melville near Yee Seng-chinese shop and Utopia-BUbble tea.
When we came here, this small restaurant so pack of people and lining up til outside.
So if you decide to come here try to come earlier e.g 11.00-11.30 so you don't have to wait outside.
But they are open from 9am-3pm
Food.
We had spicy Miso ramen,
shoyu goma ramen and shoyu ramen
Their broth-not bad.
Among those 3 I like spicy miso ramen, shoyu goma ramen- has a bitter taste.
Shoyu ramen-just OKHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lily O.Perth, Australia33210464Sep 8, 2016
Some great ramen is hiding out in these suburbs - you will probably have to line up but the hours are posted up so read carefully. The ramen is lovely - and my Dan Dan had a good depth of chilli which got stronger. The takoyaki were excellent - service was a winner. The noodles were perfectly cooked, the broth flavoursome but not too rich. My friend's was a touch salty but still nice.
Just a note though, for goodness' sakes be nice to the staff at closing time. I turned up just before closing time and obeyed the signs to line up, so I luckily scraped in last that day as the kitchen closed right before the official closing time (all very clearly explained on the window). Then I watched as rude people ignored it and then harrassed the poor lovely staff who had such patience and grace. I really wanted to smack those rude customers who abused the poor hostess for their own stupidity, which clearly happens every day. If you're late, don't blame the staff!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Rebel C.South Fremantle, Australia9598259Aug 18, 2016
Ok SOR folk, rejoice. When you feel the need for delicious ramen goodness we no longer need to battle our way into the Perth or Freo CBDs to feed our faces. Just off Leach Hwy is Oishii. A new Japanese eatery that specialises in ravishing ramen. The miso ramen was divine, the broth and tasty additions were bang on. We also got our nom on with gyoza and octopus filled takoyaki. We were super delighted.
This place is worthy of 5 stars except that... We were unable to place an order over the phone which is annoying as the place is heaving and so rather than wait for a seat it would be awesome to order and pick up. Hopefully this has changed? Also, the demand is there so I'd love to see Oishii extend their business hours to later than 3. Other than, 5 golden stars for this joy ramen restaurant.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Susan C.Perth, Australia5050600May 27, 2016Updated review
I love how they open early from 9am - 3pm. Most restaurant opens at about 11am, which usually for me is already in starving mode by then... Hopefully they keep this trading hours, as I can come as early as 9am to eat ramen!! Haha... The soup broth is nice, my daughter enjoyed it as well, she slurped until the last drop... The chashu melts in your mouth, it's so tender that my daughter took 2 out of 3 slices from my noodle LoL serving size is generous, I was sharing with my 3yo and I'm left feeling full... I've been here twice, on both time i felt that i needed to drink a lot afterwards, suspecting they put a lot of MSG???

Worst Ramen in Perth. Tasted like slightly flavoured water soup with packet noddles. I've had many Ramen's in the past and visited Japan over 10 times to be able to compare. Ramen in the city or vic park is far better than this place. Not Oishii Ramen...... more like Oishikunai Ramen!! (Not delicious)!

Great pork, great noodles, good soup. Finally checked it out after the hype given to me. Queue forms quickly but shouldn't be an overly long wait for a seat. Menus are on the windows so have a look and decide what you want as you're waiting. We got the tonkotsu ramen with charshu ($12.90) and takoyaki balls. Was seated right in front of kitchen and watching them prep other people's noodles was torturous and entertaining at the same time. They take such care to do it right. I expected amazing things from the broth and it wasn't as thick as I wanted but it was still flavourful. Charshu melted in my mouth, so good. Noodles had an amazing bite to them. Takoyaki was alright. Meal was ridiculously filling so maybe could've skipped the takoyaki. All the soups use the same base broth, so I might try out the other versions next time. I don't think it's as amazing as other people have put it to me but it was a satisfying bowl of noodles anyway, and if the queue isn't too epic I wouldn't mind going again if I'm in the area. The gyoza looked pretty good too so that shall be on my next order.
