AZ88 is hands down one of my top go-to spots in Scottsdale -- it never disappoints! Just a heads up: it's first come, first serve, so there might be a wait. But honestly, it's worth it. You can grab a drink at the bar while you wait, or even wander to one of the nearby spots -- it's in such a great area.
The martinis here are legendary -- so delicious and dangerously strong (in the best way). Definitely pace yourself! The service is always top-notch, and the decor is super sleek and artsy, which adds to the whole experience. It's one of those places where everything just feels elevated but still laid back.
Whether you're out with friends or on a date, AZ88 is always a win.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 28, 2025
My boyfriend's parents who snowbird in the Phoenix area took us here on a night out in Scottsdale. It was a treat! We came for cocktails and apps. AZ88 is known for their full-to-the-brim martinis. I had to order F'n Cucumber once I saw it had Aperol and cucumber--how creative! I was pleasantly surprised with how well the two flavors played together.
When it was time for apps, we went for the beloved wings, the bacon-wrapped water chesnuts and dipping fries. It's not very often you see water chestnuts on a menu so we couldn't pass them up!
The place was very posh and had almost entirely-glass walls that allowed you to watch all of the cute, leashed dogs out on the patio and the art sculptures in the distance.
If you're planning a visit to AZ88, don't be afraid to dress up a little bit! This is the place to do it. Our server was very friendly and attentive and did a nice job carrying over the very-full martinis to the table and answered all of our questions with a smile.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 14, 2025
The food was great, we got their Buffalo chicken sandwich and hot pepper chicken sandwich, I loved the hot pepper but I would ask for less of their sweet sauce on it.
Martini's are the superstar here, the F'N cucumber is now my all time fav, definitely will be getting it every time! Pornstar was great and sweet if you have a sweet tooth!
The service was amazing, our bartender and waitress was so sweet!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 8, 2025
My friends frequent this location periodically and always rave about it. Recently, we dined here for a late lunch and was my second time stopping in. A place that serves a great martini is sure to always draw me in if I'm in the area, that's for sure!
Both visits the service as been very friendly and they are easy going to make something vegetarian which I appreciate. Their food has very fresh ingredients and always enjoyed what items we have selected. Especially the dirty vodka martini with the ability to get blue cheese stuffed olives. Yum!
Love the atmosphere both inside and out, and will definitely return when in the area.Helpful 6Thanks 4Love this 7Oh no 0 - Apr 14, 2025
First time reviewing all though I've been coming here for decades. Hell's fire chips are always my favorite and a must. The halibut was delicious, accompanied with crisp green beans and potatos. Service was attentive and fast. Ambiance was perfect for a date or special occasion with family and friends. Great patio to enjoy cocktails on while the weather isn't sweltering hot yet. You can always count on AZ88 to deliver both great food and drinks!

AZ/88 is my go-to spot in Scottsdale--it's the only place I'll go for a drink because their martinis are just that good. The ambiance is always amazing, the service is top-notch, and if you're hungry, their cheeseburgers are definitely worth it too. A perfect vibe every time!

Had such a fun time here! Came here after exploring the museum of illusion. My friend and I sat outside. She said this was her favorite martini bar and it did not disappoint. She ordered an expresso martini and I ordered the sour apple with wings to snack on. Did half buffalo and half dragon. This place is so cute. Wished they had something like this in Seattle. Inside was beautifully decorated with fun art deco. Even the bathroom was kind of cool haha. Our server was so sweet! She was very professional and patient with me as I was looking through the menu. I definitely would come back here whenever I'm in Az.

Martinis in Old Town
AZ/88 is known for their uniqueart installations, instagram worthy bathroom, and martinis. It's another one of those spots that you've probably walked past, but never gone in. The open layout and patio make it a good "see and be seen" spot in Scottsdale.
The indoor centerpiece Christmas tree changes yearly and is a fun surprise each time. From martini glasses to Barbie dolls. The patio is fairly large and overlooks the recently renovated Civic Center. The bathroom is colorful, modern, and voted one of the top in Arizona.
Our girls' night out ended at AZ/88 to top off the night. Still being full from lunch, we did not try any food, but plenty of martinis. I had the pornstar and the cucumber. Both were too sweet for my palette, but beautiful in presentation. Overall, it was a fun stop with the girls, and I want to return to give the food a try as well.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 5, 2025
After years of people telling me to try this place I finally went, food was delicious and they definitely know how to make a good cocktail. A great spot for a special occasion as it is a bit pricey but definitely worth it.
