I'm giving this 5 stars because it's Cher! She's easy to take for granted, but when you see this show, you realize just how much she has accomplished in her career. Honestly, for anyone under 40ish- she's always been around doing something.
Yeah, she changes a lot (the costumes and wigs/headpieces are breathtaking), probably does only sing for 30-40 minutes, BUT she still can belt out a song (no lip-sync for her, are you listening Britney?)
and looks incredible.
Except for a clip from Burlesque, which the audience went nuts for, this is pretty much the same show as when I went last year. I enjoyed it just as much the second time. Everything is over the top, just like Cher.
If you get a chance to see her last shows at the Coliseum next year, go. She can't do stuff like this forever. Well, if anyone could.....Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Rose F.South San Francisco, CA83553995Oct 29, 2009
The Cher concert was wonderful. We were here for Sept 22, 2009 concert which had a sold out crowd. We purchased the tickets in advance at Ticket Master. My boyfriend and I couldn't wait to see her live and in person. We had good seats in the Colosseum.
Cher has such a great vocal. Her costumes were amazing. I think she changed easily over 12 times. Everyone in the audition were all singing alone with her.
One of my favorite moments was she had a tribute to Sonny Bono and the TV show. The clips brought bring back great memories of my childhood. Very nostalgic ....

I paid just about $200 to see Cher (I got lucky... I thought), good seat, but NO, SHE WAS NOT SINGING, I absolutely saw her hide her face when the words were too hard for her to remember! She spent half the time talking about how "pretty" she is (give me a break) and literally shamed a gal in the audience for screaming "I LOVE YOU"! Cher's response [under her breath but into the mic] was something to the tune of "this isn't a shit show but they can't keep shit out." Big deal, I saw Cher lip sync, big freakin' deal! What a waste of money!

I was excited to see Cher's show in Las Vegas, with my husband. I enjoyed the show for the most part, and even got a tad teary eyed during one or two songs. We had great seats in the middle section, right in the center, behind the fancy lounge seats. It was cool seeing my childhood idol (well, ONE of them ha). We saw the show on 8/21/2019.
It started late, so we had to be patient while endless folks kept streaming into their seats, eventually. Sigh. It was about 98% full, I think.
Although I was thrilled to see and hear Cher perform, she was actually onstage just about half the time. The other half she was taking lots of time changing outfits backstage, maybe sipping tea too? I loved her dancers, they were very high energy, and fun. They got to fill much of the time while she was changing costumes. The back up singers were very good, as well as the musicians. I liked the fancy scenery, and the arielists were kind of special (A mini Cirque show within the show). If you go see this show at MGM Park, you must arrive an hour before showtime, to allow plenty of time for the long lines, and very tight security checkpoint at the doors. Once you are inside, it's very nice and new looking. We were comfy in our blue velvet seats. We didn't buy anything to drink or anything else there, but you could if you wanted to. They also had a photo booth that I skipped, but I found out later that it was to #the show or something. I'm trying not to be influenced by other's reviews, since we saw Cher's show, but I have to admit, that at one point, I was watching her on the side screen live video, and had the thought that "maybe" she was lip synching a song, but I didn't really see it happening, so not sure. I otherwise thought she sounded pretty good for her "Mature" age now (73). She looks fantastic and I have to wonder how she stays so fit to wear those costumes. Personal trainer perhaps? Salads? I just wanted to pass on how disappointed I was in Cher's show this evening. Show starting late wasn't unexpected, but still a bit annoying. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. Visually, the show was fantastic. The sets, and supporting dancers were beautiful. Cher was gorgeous! The sound mixing was awe full. With the exception of the delightful 'Walking in Memphis', we could barely hear Cher over the back-up band. We remain Cher fans, but wish we were able to hear her.

We walked into our wedding to a Cher song, so we thought what wouldn't be more perfect than us seeing Cher live?! Well, we were left slightly disappointed.
Having seen Elton in the same space I was stoked! But Cher seemed to barely be ON the stage. She sometimes wouldn't even finish a song and then ran off to do a costume change. And I felt like I was watching videos through the years than HER which is who I paid to see.
A lot of songs weren't hers - and Turn Back Time came around and the crowd got going finally! So much fun.
But then.
It was over.
I thought it was a joke and she was coming back to do an encore but no such luck. I'm happy I saw Cher. I can cross it off the so-called 'bucket list' of people I'd like to see live. But at $100/ticket for the cheap seats, I would have actually liked to have SEEN her in person (not on film shot on a curtain!)Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Eric C.Las Vegas, NV2070Mar 23, 2019
Great song set. Great artist. Perfect night! It was fun having songs from every decade. This concert turned back time.

A girlfriend of mine was in from out of town and, who knew she was a closet Cher fan?!
Anyway, she wanted to go, so we went, even though I am not a Cher fan...
The other reviews pretty much captured it-- lots of covers, lots of Sonny and Cher nostalgia, few songs from the Cher solo era.
BE WARNED. THIS IS NOT A CHER CONCERT. It is like a variety show.
Don't get me wrong, everyone definitely needs to give Cher some props for being 60+ and getting on stage in a sparkly body stocking. She looked fantastic.
AND, this is not one of those "comeback"/"reunion" shows in which the headliner is really too old to be on stage... she did get down with her dancers and her voice is still there...
BUT, the covers were really confusing. Why? She's been in the music business for like 40 years, and she couldn't pick out enough of her own material to fill an hour and a half?
AND, we didn't understand the overall flow of the show... I think there was supposed to be some implied "chronology of her life" thing going on, but (again), if it's HER life, then why not HER songs? Each "number" was introduced by a video montage of Cher footage-- from the Sonny and Cher era, from her movies, etc., then the screen would go up and everyone (Cher and dancers) would be in some period costume and she would sing a song that was not related to the introductory montage, and maybe not related to the period costumes...
AND, the costumes were definitely over the top. I agree with the previous reviewer who said that they could definitely have dropped a couple of costume changes to give us a little more music. The show was 1 song = 1 costume. The introductory video montages were not exactly short, to give everyone time to change... It got kind of old after a while.
If you are a fan of the "big Vegas production", I would recommend Elton John over this any day of the week. Him, his piano, some video, some background effects and that's it = great show. Cher, 15 dancers, 15 costume changes, countless collages of Cher photos over the years, and few actual Cher songs, just ended up producing a show that was mediocre at best.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
