Harris Teeter

The #1 grocery store in the area. When a Publix opened across the street, I wondered, but Harris Teeter just stepped up their game even more.

Highest quality produce and meats. Best variety of goods. Certainly not the lowest prices but theirs sales are very good and the service is top notch. I have *never* had bad service and that's worth a few cents extra here and there.

They are halfway completed with a new, much larger store just around the corner. I'm told that will have more quick meal options, like the infamous Wegmans chains up north. I'm looking forward to that.

HT on Glenburnie is one of the better grocers on this side of town. While there is a sparkly, new HT store across the river, the customer service @ the Glenburnie location is 2nd to none. It's especially nice when they have the great buy 2, get 3 free deals on products we use regularly.

This Harris Teeter is a great grocery store! It's huge, clean, and just really nice inside. (It's the only HT I've ever been in.)

We love their sandwich bar. They use Boar's Head products and you can get a footlong for $5 on Fridays. Even when it's full price (like $7-8 I think?), it's a good deal. Those sandwiches are great!

This is a massive store that carries all the brand names but I was impressed to see specialty items, like gluten free and organic stuff, too. I signed up for their card and use their app to see what's on sale. :)

Very nice to find this mid to upscale grocery store in coastal North Carolina. Very clean, great selection, and friendly staff. Also it was good to find a good selection of wine that is difficult to find in this part of the country. Pretty decent prices for what you're getting and I would definitely go back next time I am in New Bern!

Great sushi.. always a great time.. the employees are so kind and happy! Either grocery shopping or just to enjoy dinner. Having samples are a plus too!

This is the best grocery store in town. Always the freshes meats and produce. Friendly cashier, deli, florist and bakery. Best selectiion for even the strangest items and exotic grocery items. Clean, clean, clean. Open 24 hours.

A little pricey, but multiple registers are always open. Plus they have self check out if you into that. Weekly specials are great too!

Mary in the florist of the Glenburnie store is absolutely amazing. I had ordered flowers from her for a 60th wedding anniversary party and they didn't come in. She personally came out to my house after running all over town to collect the flowers I wanted. She made the arrangements and made sure I was completely satisfied, which I was. This store has become my favorite place to shop.

A lot of options offered at H.T. that you can't find at other grocers. This one is always clean and well stocked. Harris Teeters are more pricey than others, but if you're a senior, Thursday is best day to shop as you get a discount. ;-)

Stopped in on 1/7/15 after 10pm to grab a few items unexpectedly. The store was being stocked but still easy to move around. Next thing I knew, I had a full cart thanks to the vic specials.
There were 2 people at registers but they were both blocked off saying closed. One cashier was closing out her till so that didn't look hopeful. The 2nd cashier, Kathy, was ringing up another customer.
I looked where the self checkout was open and debated what would be easier, returning my groceries or attempting self checkout with a full cart.
Kathy finished with her customer and walked over, greeted me and opened her line. Thank goodness!
I offered to bag as she rang, but she managed on her own:).
We had a pleasant conversation during the checkout. I get ready to leave and ask if the doors on the right were still open. The Temps had dropped to 20's, I had parked on that side, & just came from the gym so I had not "planned" to spend a lot of time outside lol.
Kathy didn't skip a beat. She started walking over with me and offered to unlock the door for me.
I must say, one if my best grocery store experiences!

This is the place to go for lunch. The burger bar is phenomenal and they are always running a daily special. This is somewhere you can go and watch television eat quality sushi, have a slice pizza, or even lobster tail. The best grocery store around, and now one of the top places to eat on Glenburnie.
