Yes, there was a wait, YES, it was worth it! I will be back! Great customer service, owner is clearly invested the quality of her product. Owner wanted to remake the pork chop because it was fattier than she would have preferred, I declined, I don't mind a bit of fat, it makes flavor!

When I look at my husband and tell him, her Mac is better than mine....hurt me to say it but challenge accepted, I'll have to have it several more times to figure out the difference!

This was my first time coming here and I will be back , the fish was crispy and not overly seasoned. The green beans was hot and flavorful and the Mac n cheese was good I would give it a 6 out of 10. The BBQ chicken was also good an tender and whatever bbq sauce she uses it's really sweet and tangy just how I like bbq.

Another amazing meal from Kim's Kafe!! Food cooked to perfection, service was wonderful as always, and the food was out in a timely manner. Kim and everyone that work there are so very friendly and a joy to interact with.

Came a week ago, we weren't given all of the items that we paid for. I called back to the restaurant to inform that I live over an hour away, so she stated to come back next week and she will give the 2 items that I did NOT receive and bless us with a free plate and just text her when I arrive. Well today I text, no response. I went inside to place an order and to receive items I paid for last week. I showed the young lady at the desk the messages she went and spoke with Kim who sent her to the front with a message "Kim said today ain't a good day because she has reservations coming"! What does that have to do with items that she still owes me? No refund, sorry or nothing. I said ok don't even worry about the order I was getting ready to place for the 4 people outside in the car. I will NEVER send anyone else there to support. This situation could've been easily corrected. I will take my money where it is appreciated!! This is why people do not want to support BLACK BUSINESSES. They don't value the people that keep them in business!

Kim's kafe is 5 out 5 highly recommend going out of your way to eat here. I ate here multiple times and Kim puts in work in her food. Her service is amazing, the ambiance of the place is great. She is usually by herself doing everything so be patient, she is worth the wait. The wings and mac & cheese. Its so good i walked back in to order the mac & cheese, cornbread, cupcakes sweet tea great. Come here asap for kim & stay for the food!!!

We visited very recently with a family friend from Arizona. Our party was 6. I called before going and was told there was a party being accommodated but we didn't need a reservation. We arrived at 7:30 pm and the restaurant was completely empty. We were accommodated immediately by a very friendly waiter. We placed orders for pork chops, chicken wings and fish. My grandkids wanted burgers BUT first was told they were out of buns and would they take a sub roll instead. They agreed. Unfortunately...we later found out they were out of burgers. *strike 1. We all placed our orders with fries, baked beans, green beans, mac and cheese, yams and cabbage. We waited about 35-45 minutes for the food BUT we knew it was freshly cooked..so no issues with the wait. Our food was delivered piping hot. We didn't receive the cabbage but was given potato salad as a compliment. Okay... I didn't care for our meal being served on paper plates and bowls. We only received a plastic fork. Our pork chops were over an inch thick and we asked for knives. Unfortunately... knives could not be provided! Hmmmm I can't eat this thick pork chop without a knife. My husband had a plastic one in the car and they supplied a butter knife for our other guest. *Strike 2. But the pork chops were amazing. The baked beans were too sweet as also the yams. But...I had to eat the beans with a fork from a paper bowl lined with wax paper. *Strike 3. The food was overall good and the rating is for the food but a fair rating would've been 2.5. We had no other concerns about the food. However extending the menu would be nice. This restaurant went viral regarding dress code a few months ago and I advise if you want this restaurant to have a face of upscale and match the prices... they have to make some changes. Try offering free water for one and not charge for bottles of water. I didn't take pictures..sorry.

Everything was made fresh and delicious. My family and I are visiting from California and we found this place on google maps. The food was so good! The service was wonderful and I love the scriptures all around the dining room. We tried the pork chops, chicken wings, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, and the yams. We loved everything. The food was well seasoned, hot, and fresh. Thank you for a wonderful experience and I pray all the blessings for you and your family.

Chicken and fish are great, Mac n cheese ok. Wait was pretty long but spectrum went down so I can't fault them on that. There's a clear no short dress code but I saw a young lady with leggings and she was denied service. She even stated she saw the no shorts and changed. For the sake of business and politeness, she could have been given a warning for next time and allowed to eat. They were very respectful and were excited to eat here. Not to mention they drove a decent distance. Again, this wasn't my experience but I observed how the two young ladies were treated.

If you want the best soul food in Greensboro it's HERE!!!!!! I get either the barbecue chicken or a veggie plate just because her sides are THAT GOOD. Please come and support and respect her dress code!

Delicious!! I ordered my food to go, online butngot caught up with work and didn't get to her place until 8... they close at 8! She was so accommodating and just sweet. Instead of giving me my food that's been waiting she made me a FRESH plate of food, my jaw dropped. I am so moved by her customer service, she has a loyal customer for life.
