On the outskirts of SV headed towards Bisbee. Pay attention or you'll drive right bye. The cost is reasonable and the volunteers that manage the range are extremely helpful in relaying the rules of the firing lines and keeping tabs on everything. Folks are genuinely friendly and courteous. There's a lot of "watcha shooting?" And there's a lot of opinions on "how to.." and honestly that is very much welcomed. The range safeties keep it professional.
Sundays: no shotguns and NO green tips/tracers.
Bring water. Hydrate. Meet new friends.
Enjoy
Ps... would LOVE to have some close quarters or training/tactical classes offered on Sundays.... Just putting it out there.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 29, 2019
One of the best shooting range I've ever been to or maybe it's the mountain backdrop. The range is clean, open, and in secluded location. The range masters are great as long as you follow the rules.
Wooden target stands and staples are available so bring your own paper targets; however they sell some for a buck a piece. Range fees reasonably cheap 6$ per adult or 3$ for military; under 18 free with adult.
Long rifle and pistol is used on the same range with target set at 100 yards max. Also the path to the shooting range is about half mile dirt road; sometimes I see people out with their RC cars testing the terrain.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - K D.San Antonio, TX0400May 8, 2022
We don't have a lot of options for shooting in Cochise County, so it's good that there is at least one public spot that is maintained and organized. RSOs have always been good and helpful (sure, you occasionally get one who could dial the attitude back a bit, but they're all volunteers), and the place is kept clean. If you haven't been out to it, it is a pretty primitive set up, so any food/drinks etc. you think you may need, you'll have to bring with you (and not allowed on the line, of course), as well as most supplies. They do have targets for sale and very reasonably priced, as well as other useful items, staple guns, cleaning rods etc. It may take a bit to get accustomed to the procedures there, as they don't function like a military range. You do most of your necessary moving around, swapping out weapons etc, WHILE the range is hot, which is odd for most vets or LE. When the range goes cold, they don't want you doing any of that, so it's challenging to remember especially when you did the exact opposite of that for your entire military career, but that's how they prefer it. Worst single issue if you're an LD shooter, is that the furthest target (as of last time) was 400 yds.

This is a very well run range where safety is the priority consideration. The RSOs let me know when it was safe to move my rifles up to the firing line and made very sure that no one touched any fire arms during a cease fire and people were down range at their targets. They made sure that I understood the rules of the range before I got set up and strictly enforced them for safety.
The range fee is fairly inexpensive, only $6 for the day or $3 for military personnel. There are even family season passes at 1 year for $60.
Wood and cardboard target stands, as well as staplers, are provided to mount your targets. They do sell a few types of paper targets, but it is probably best to bring your own if you want hi-viz targets. Targets can be set up from 5 yards out to 200 yards and there are metal swinger targets from 100 to 400 yards for a little longer range shooting. Ammo is restricted to no steel penetrators or tracers because of the fire hazards with the dry Arizona landscape.
I had a good shooting session with cease fires coming at a good pace to keep from waiting around or not getting enough shots in each string. All in all, a very nice day!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Karen F.Arizona Canal, AZ0210Sep 2, 2019
An impressive physical setting, yet staffed by surly volunteer range masters who arbitrarily enforce arcane and bizarre "rules" that have little to do with gun safety.

The view alone is worth going! Nice facility, helpful and friendly RSO's took time to help first time visitor understand rules of their range. Targets available 5 for $1, distances from 10 feet to way out there! Great place, enjoy!

Very friendly staff. They are helpful and willing to explain procedures to
newcomers. Adequate parking and restroom facilities. Situated well
off main road, so ride is a bit of a bumpy dirt road.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
