I like the mini sea snails, live squid, and "service" here. By service I mean free soj, DUH.

I live .3 miles from here and have always wanted to try it. Thankfully I never cook so I was starving around 8pm and walked over. It happened to be happy hour 6pm-9pm (bonus!).

I met the owner, Evan who is really nice and attentive. He explained Soju to me and showed me how to drink it right. I like it with lemon and maybe a little bingsu syrup on the side. If you go with friends and want to drink it like Koreans do, just remember that you *never pour your own shot*. Someone senior or older to you in the group pours your shot, you pour someone else's, and so on. Accept your shot with both hands. Fun when you get into the tradition.

I ordered spicy seafood soup which came out sizzling and delicious (see video), with a side of rice.

The ambience is sexy and quaint. Happy hour got me I think 50% off the Soju. Bar serves soju and wine.

Definitely will be coming back with the boyfriend, friends, etc. This is one of those places you can feel like a regular and be rewarded for your loyalty.

      Plenty of street parking.

      Gunbae! (Cheers!)

Spicy seafood soup, bottle of Soju with lemon wedges. Happy hour and the owner Evan taught me how to make and drink my Soju right #Cheers

Rude staff. Even ruder owner. How is this place still in business?

They make you wait when there are clearly empty tables. They seat parties out of order (ie. they'll seat a party that comes in after another party that's already waiting, just because they know someone in the other group).

I had no idea this place was such an "exclusive" spot.

      PS. Parking here blows.

I really liked this place. Excellent korean style pub with decent food, service and crowd. We had the shell fish combo (pic attached) and came with six different shell fish (mussels, clams, scallops, odeng, sea snails, etc.). The soup base hearty and spicy just as I like. Beer came chilled and soju came half frozen so that when we poured it, bits of soju came out frozen - just excellent. The inside deco reminded me of pojangmacha in korea. The service was quick and friendly, and they cooked scrambled egg on our table - basically poured scrambled egg on a hot grill plates on our table and it cooked right away. The seats and table were not very comfortable but I guess they wanted to simulate the pojangmacha experience. Anyway, will come back next time I am in town.

I'm surprised this place doesn't have more reviews, since it's technically the same as their neighboring/sister restaurant - Wassada Restaurant, except in more of a dive bar type environments, which is great for me. Life doesn't get much better than eating raw fish and drinking beer and sake...

My friends and I had originally planned to go to Wassada Restaurant but since there was a wait, we decided to just go next door. The menu is the same, so we ordered one of their combination sashimi plates for our party of 4. Holy cow, this place gives you a ton of food! We got a ton of side dishes, sashimi salad, raw oysters, a huge tray of fresh sashimi that included yellow tail, salmon, albacore, unni, california rolls, kimchi hand rolls, dynamite and some other grilled fish, spicy fish soup. It was non-stop.

Although there were a few items I didn't care too much for, like the kimchi hand rolls, I thought all the sashimi was really good and all really fresh. And for the price and the amount of food you get, what a great value!

I also tried live octopus for the first time, and although it really freaked me out, I can say it was the best octopus I've ever had. It tasted sooo good, but after a few bites, I mentally couldn't "swallow" it so I had to stop. But so yummy!

The beer is plentiful and the sake is cheap (in quality and price) but definitely a fun place to go with friends for dinner and drinks.

The only negative was the service. The service is pretty horrible. They aren't rude or anything, but they were soo slow to bring out our drinks and kept forgetting that our sake was being heated in the microwave (lol.. high class stuff, ya know?!) and so we had to constantly remind them of our drink order.

Nevertheless, looking forward to coming here again soon.

I went with 7 girls so we ordered lots of things (seafood noodle stir-fry, Octpus sashimi/soup, BBQ Eel, etc) and on top of it the chef lady gave us complementary Gol-bang-e dish (I think it was an early bird special since we were the first customer).
Food was yummy and parking was great (valet guy was very nice).
We got there around 7 and left around 8:30pm (was half full when we left) so I would recommend this place if you hate waiting like me.

My frd and I went there the night before Thanksgiving. And we both had serious FOOD POISONING after we went back home. We ordered chicken gizzard, pork galbi and some seafood soup...They all tasted fine, i don't know which one has the problem. But we just know we won't go there again and we couldn't enjoy any thanksgiving feast the next day.
