Tacos Selene

God was delicious and authentic. Service was excellent. Casual dining atmosphere was welcome.

I had a carne asada burrito. They did it right. It had carne, beans, rice, cilantro, and onions. It's rare to find this out here in CO. It's like someone down the line played telephone with the recipe and ended up on some BS.
My dog had a chicken taco with nothing on it, she said it was dope.
To top it off, the prices were reasonable. Definitely coming back when I'm in town.

Pretty spacious casual local taco shop with self serve sauce bar and soft drink dispenser machine. This is my favorite taco restaurant in Aurora for very affordable and delicious taco Tuesday. Fast food restaurant system to order at the register, they give you a card with number to hang up, and bring food to your table (so not really that much "service"). Green sauce is mild, orange sauce is medium, and brownish red sauce is pretty spicy. Strongly recommend the horchatta as must order drink!

Have to say, don't get what the hype is about. Maybe I'm picky being from San Diego but I think there are plenty of better tacos and burritos to be had in Denver. The burritos were kind of skimpy and everything in it was underseasoned. And the carne asada was very poor quality, lots of gristle. Maybe I just hit it on an off day but I was not impressed. Maybe i'll have to stop by and try it again sometime.

No frills taco shop in Aurora. From all the taco restaurants I tried in Colorado, I like Tacos Selene the best. It totally gives the mom and pop shop vibes. You order from the counter first, they give you a number and then sit wherever you want. As you wait for your tacos, tortas or burritos, go to the salsa and condiments bar to grab the limes, 4 different types of salsa, sliced radishes, etc.

It's my first time here but I definitely enjoyed the lengua and carne asada tacos. I can't decide which salsas were my favorite but the orange one definitely has a kick- to the point that I had to wipe my nose and all that lol. Will definitely be back and try the burritos & quesadilla! This might by my go-to taco place now :)

Wonderful first visit to Tacos Selene! Stopped in on a cold and snowy Sunday and each of us tried 3 tacos, including the Carnitas, Asada, Al Pastor, and Barbacoa. Wow, were they all delicious!! Excellent savory flavour to the meats! Add in the salsa bar where you can choose from several salsas or other toppings such as pickled onions or jalapeños, or fresh lime. Excellent taco meal with fast service at a reasonable price. Don't anticipate much for ambiance, yet the location is very clean and comfortable.

Staple taco spot in Denver, reminds me of California and I always recommend peeps here

After recently moving here from Florida, I was in search of authentic low cost Hispanic food. Tacos Selene went above my expectations. The staff were very nice, the food came out quick (takeout), and the flavor was amazing.

I don't know if I stumbled in the hood but everyone knows that hood food is usually the best and today was Taco Tuesday!! $2.00 a taco, which I had 5 tacos. 2 carne asada, 2 chicken, and 1 al pastor. They had a salsa bar and I like to mix up the hottest hot sauce with the mildest one to give flavor to the taco.

I really enjoyed my tacos and the price, the atmosphere not so much. It felt like the restaurant had never seen a beautiful black woman before and it showed with the staring from staff and patrons. With that being said, we got our order to go and we both enjoyed our meal. Thank you for the good food not so much for the service.

My rating is based on the food only because if it were the other part it would've been a negative star.

Muy yum! Our friends have raved about this place so we decided to give it a try. We were slightly hangry and it did not disappoint. Authentic, delicious, and quick. The place was packed with customers. We will be back.
