Purchased a michael todd beauty micro planer tool online. Got it out of the box and realized that it had been previously used AND it wouldn't charge. So, off to the store I went to return it.
Walked into the store. Wasnt greeted but was overwhelmed by the fragrance. Stood in line to return the item. There were two people ahead of me and two people behind me. Although there were multiple associates on the floor and maybe four other customers in the aisles they only had one girl running registers.
Once I got to the register the sales associate was very helpful. Sent me to the floor to get an exchange. Couldnt find the item or the location it might be in so I tracked down an associate and he nicely found it for me.
Back to the line. Waited my turn and had it exchanged. All in all, it was fairly easy to return.
I browsed the floor afterwards and noticed they don't really carry any of the brands for cosmetics that I use, but they did have a large selection of NARS AND Tarte. But I used Jones Road and Ilia so that was of no help. I came in to find 1 product and I found it on my own but when I got to checkout there was 2 girls helping one customer and he was on the phone anyways so he wasn't really checking out. None of them even looked my way and I sat there for over 5 minutes, mind you no one is in line. I was really disappointed they didn't even say anything to me or help me in the store nor welcome me in.

Nice place for make up and beauty supplies . I really don't wear make up but was admiring my daughters lip color and they said it was sold here so I purchased some and it's a beautiful color. It's Rihanna line and I signed up to get discounts for my next purchase k cashier was friendly and had a nice smile . Glad to see someone enjoy there job these days .

Ulta is a great option if you're looking for any sort of beauty product. They have a great selection of prestige makeup brands, all sorts of skin and hair products, you can find everything you need to do your nails or recreate a spa day at home. They also offer hair and brow services in the salon towards the back of the store.
This location is always kept clean and organized, and I've never ran into an issue of them not having a product that I'm looking for. The staff is also friendly and the check-out line never takes too long. Pro tip - sign up for their rewards and save money while you shop. They have coupons like $3.50 off a purchase of $15 or more. They also add up points as you spend which equates to money off your purchase and regularly have deals on different products. Way better rewards program than their biggest competitor.
My favorite items include the Born This Way foundation, Clinique Moisture Surge moisturizer and under eye treatments, Not Your Mother's hair care products, and I use several of their Ulta brand products. I checked online to make sure the items I wanted were available in the store. When I got to the store (same day) every single thing except one item was in a box "in the back". I get it is very busy and they may be short staffed. It's the nonchalant "yeah maybe just check back in a day or two" while everyone stands around talking about the weekend.

Normally a great experience. Except this time just rubbed me the wrong way. I had the cashier angelica and she seemed like i was the worlds largest inconvenience to her. As someone who works in customer service I know how taxing it can be but you can never show that on your face. I tried to engage in conversation and I was immediately shut down. She didn't even want to service me to begin with she had her head on the counter and just watched me as I stood in line waiting to be told that she could help me. Overall a great store but please don't let one person ruin your reputation

I needed a little relaxation today and I knew I could use a facial so I called to see if I could get an appointment today. They were able to squeeze me in for a 20 minute one. I've never had services done at Ulta so I didn't have any expectations. Their salon area is in the back and is a very small area. There is no private room or massage table to lay on. It's kind of a hidden room behind the products where she does the facials in a chair that reclines back. They offer you water and blankets. Although it was only 20 minutes my face was refreshed and looked great. She gave me a few samples to try.
They have a brow bar in the front of the store and I was interested in getting lashes but after speaking to one of the associates I decided against it. It seems what they offer are more for an occasion happening that day because the lashes won't last much longer than that. You also have to buy the lashes, so you're really just paying them to apply. I have been here twice for hair services. Both times they added services without first informing me (masks/ treatments) and tripled the charge I intended on spending.
They chopped off hair that was uneven and looked messier than what I went in with.
Also, on their website, they mentioned heat styling with the service I signed up for. They seemed rushed towards the end, and told me they were finished after a simple blow-dry, yet somehow charged me extra?

I have heard great things about this place, but I can't say that I love it.
I have been here twice, and always feel that I am in a glorified drug store... they carry high end things, but is step up very basic. Maybe I am spoiled by Sephora's sleek black store.
This specific time I went in to purchase make up brushes that I saw on the website for BOGO 50% off, which was not reflected in the store... I wasn't having a great day, and this didn't help.

I was visiting Columbus and scheduled a wash & blowout at this store location. The salon team is completely new. Brittany (sp) did a great job styling my hair. She told me she has 11 years experience in the hair business. Salon is very clean.
