Who doesn't love a good county fair? I've been coming to this fair for the past 5 years it's not the biggest or the best I've ever been to but the Volusia County Fair Association does a pretty good job, there are lots, of youth activities and they award ribbons for just about anything you could think of from the best gingerbread house, photos, painting, jellies, jams and fried spam think of something and you'll probably find it here.
There are pigs, sheep, steers, chickens, rabbits, tractors, model trains, steam engines, and local honey. The midway is filled with rides and food vendors some claiming to be serving fair food since 1938. If you like gyros, corn dogs, funnel cakes, french fries, steak on a stick or pork on a bun this is the place for you.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Lucy D.Miami, FL0158692Nov 12, 2016
Small fair but has lots of rides, food venders, and entertainment. My husband and I went around noon on a Saturday and it has great. The fair is clean and well organized. Staff is friendly and inviting.
Parking: organized and FREE
Admission: $10 for Adults; 8 if you purchase your tickets in advance at participating Walgreens. I heard that Walgreens stops selling the discounted tickets on the last weekend.
Crowd/Ambiance: pleasant; lots of families and couples. The fair does NOT sell alcohol so the crowd was no drunken. Plenty of security.
We had a nice time; I would return next year. I recommend.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 10, 2015
Always a fun time to see the displays and the animals. We are not big on the rides but it is fun to see them just the same. The fair food is as you expect - more of an indulgence than to be a real meal. I wish they served beer and wine but at the same time that would likely get out of hand for some. I wish they would list the full schedule on line so that I can better plan when I am going. This year they had the livestock area closed to everyone but the owners. No one at the fair seamed to know why it was closed or when it would open again. Oh well see them next year.

Warning to ALL! It there is even a hint of bad weather in the forecast, DO NOT ATTEND THE FAIR THIS YEAR! We went last night, spent less than 20 minutes there, before the rain came down. The power went out, and they chose to shut down the midway, so everybody had to leave. When we left, nobody offered us tickets to come back. I later read on their FB that they had given return tickets to some of the guest. I called to see what could be done, and I was told they would not refund ours, even though we still had our ticket stubs from the night! Such a disappointment and total waste of money!

As always the blousing county fair was a blast. Lots of good food and entertainment. It's best to get there as soon as they open which is 4pm on weekdays and 11am on weekends.

PRO TIP: Buy your ticket ahead of time at participating Walgreens locations. It saved us so much money for both the ticket and the ride wristband!!
I really love a good fair, and this one didn't disappoint!
The grounds themselves were very clean. There were tons of great fair food options all around the place. The animal areas were clean and the displays were organized well.
The ride area was just great! So many amazing rides for all ages. The all-you-can ride wristband was $15 ahead of time and $30 day of. I didn't buy one for myself and wanted to ride just one with my kids - and that alone cost me $7 for ONE RIDE! So get the wristband ahead of time.
The bathrooms were so clean - they actually have attendants in there cleaning everything. And they expect a tip!
My only real complaint about the fair - no alcohol. I get it, and actually appreciated that it kept things sane. But I really could have gone for a beer while my kids rode rides like crazy.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Barb F.Deltona, FL010Aug 1, 2019

This is an awesome place for families to explore all of the animals, ride rides, laugh, and enjoy all of the exhibits that our FFA and 4H worked so hard on for this year's fair and youth show.
