Great customer service there. I needed a dress I just bought to be altered, and Preeti got it done ahead of schedule so I could wear it to my special event. The alterations team really looked out for me!

Von Maur advertises items on their website as In Stock and allows you to place an order even though they really don't even have the item. Then they cancel the order days later because they can't fulfill it. Please keep track of your inventory better and stop wasting people's time.

I went in looking for some specific shirts with a couple of brand names and they had what I wanted in stock I was looking for items on sale. The person working in the men's department was very helpful and gave me some good information on dates where things would be on sale and I should come back. I always appreciate good customer service when the staff person has the customers best interest in mind.

Shoddy workmanship installing James Avery charms. I bought a child's bracelet with 3 charms in November 2022 from James Avery.com. Then in July 2023 I had Von Maur install 4 charms.
Currently, 3 of the 4 charms installed by Von Maur have fallen off and have been lost. Last week I went to Von Maur and the Manager told me if I had the charms they would be happy to re-install them. However, since the charms have been lost there is nothing they can do for me. The 3 charms that were installed by James Avery.com are still attached while 3 of the charms installed by Von Maur 9 months later have fallen off.
Since it is obvious that Von Maur's shoddy workmanship led to the loss I am extremely unhappy with this outcome! I believe this poor customer service reflects badly upon Von Maur.
UPDATE: Although Von Maur refuses to take responsibility for their shoddy workmanship, James Avery has agreed to install new charms to replace the lost charms free of charge. Kudos to James Avery for doing the right thing!!!!

Curbside pickup because I cannot walk and stand right now and the woman asked me several times if I was coming in. Hence the meaning "curbside pickup"? I was happy to find exactly the shoes I was looking for in a quality brand name afair price. Only took three hours to confirm my order and arrive at the store for pick up. They must be short staffed because the woman on the phone needed someone to cover her in order for her to run out my product.

Went here on Christmas Eve wearing a hideously ugly Christmas knit sweater and a necklace of lights. Had seven different people (mostly sales representatives) comment on my eyesore of a sweater. I basked in the attention.

The department store was very well decorated for the season- tons of wrapped gifts, decorated trees, garland, etc. well done Von Maur!

Love this store and salespeople! I breezed in mid-afternoon, not sure what I was looking for. Bonnie in Dresses helped me find the perfect outfit, and I was out of there in less than 30 minutes. She's helped me before, and she is the best! Friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Thank you Bonnie!

Shopping at Von Mauer is a nice experience. I love the live classical piano playing and it sets the ambiance immediately. Maybe most people don't care, but I actually stopped and listened a few times because of the outstanding the pianist playing some fine classical piano music.

The merchandise is a mix:
For men they only carry the larger sizes...not everyone is M or L. Many fashionable stores carry smaller sizes (fashionable men are slimming down....).

Women's section is a toss up. I've been able to find a few nice/unique/stylish items however.

Jewelry-Costume - I was looking for Yurman and found some Lagos instead. The sales associate was very good and I really enjoyed working with her (ended up buying a ring)

The service in this store is outstanding. They even steamed a new dress for me.

First Von Maur I have been to and absolutely loved it. The customer service was on par with Nordstrom (e.g. fabulous). The selection and presentation of Adidas apparel was the best I have seen ever. Even better than an Adidas store I have been to! We also got several other men's jackets.

They have free gift wrapping of any of your purchases and they text you when it is ready for pick-up. What a great set-up!

It was a really nice experience...one which I hope to repeat again whenever I am back in the area!

This place has a great selections of shoes. Ask for Joyce in the shoe department she is exceptional! She was So helpful and knowledgeable about the shoes I purchased and quick to find my size in the back. I would go back just to deal with her again. She went above and beyond in every aspect. I went in for one pair of runners left with two. Highly recommend this place for some fresh kicks and great service
