West Point K9 Academy has been like family for us and our 3 dogs. We have dealing with Juan and his daughter for several years now. Our babies have been trained with the most care and professionalism. Plus when traveling we board our 3 dogs also and the service is outstanding. we highly recommend West Point K 9 Academy for all your training needs as well as boarding.

Juan and his team are simply, THE BEST. We've been coming to him for our doggie school and boarding for years. He treats us, and especially the dogs, like family. He's honest, to the point, and will always be fair and on point about his assessment.

trains puppies with a prong collar at 4 mos. of age to sit, heel. stay.... none of which are an absolute. Stay especially. Never taught my dog to come when called or not run out of the front door when opened (has been nearly hit by cars as a result on three occasions). This so-called canine trainer trains the dog in a fenced-in grassy area with no exposure to real world events, such as bicyclers passing, cars and motorcycles going by, kids walking and other situations where a reactive dog , such as mine, lunges at them causing bikers to fall off their bikes and children's parents to threaten law suits. The real world is not in an enclosed grassy area with no distractions and yes, any puppy with a prong collar will sit , heel and maybe stay. Take the prong collar off and none of these commands are effective. This trainer in my case was a complete waste of $3,000 dollars!!!

This place is way too overpriced. $950 for 2 weeks of training on how to walk your dog on a leash, each additional training costs more. Save the money and look for a private trainer. Juan said my dog would learn "sit, come, down", and would include boarding and more with that price, turns out that's just the enrollment fee and basic training (walking your dog) everything else costs more charged daily which you will find out after making the full payment. Take your money elsewhere and get your dog some better training for a much better price!

Just wanted to say that I've been coming to West Point for years! When I was a kid I used to ride my bike here just to sit and watch them train dogs. When I got older and had enough money I would buy bad ass dogs and bring them straight to West Point K9. Juan and his team are like family and treat my dogs and ALL dogs with the highest quality care and love.

I can't say enough good things about this place! They did an amazing job with my puppy. He's got a lot of energy and he's a Great Dane so he's huge. They've trained him so well. The best part is that they also train me on how to get him to listen to me and practice with him. Everybody here is amazing and friendly! The owner has been training since the 70s. I'm so happy I chose this place for training. They took great care of scooby. Definitely go here for training or boarding!

This place for my husband and I has been very special. My husband worked here when he was 16 years old and he loved it, 17 years later we still come and visit. We trust Juan with all of our three dogs.

I first found West Point K-9 Academy when I was seeking a trainer for my German Shepherd. Just thinking about leaving my dog with anyone caused me great distress. Boy am I glad I did. Juan and his team were simply amazing. Juan is a dog whisperer I swear! He and his lovely wife Carol put my wife and I at ease. They did a phenomenal job trading my dog. When I say amazing, I mean amazing. I now board my dog only with Juan. I trust him with my Furry child 200%. I give them my highest rating. If I could give 6 stars I would! Always super clean, set in horse country West Point K-9 is a park setting for dogs. Absolutely spotless! You must check them out. You will not be disappointed. They make you feel like family! WPk9 - you guys are incredible!
