Winn Dixie

Winn-Dixie has certainly done a great job at turning itself around after this supermarket chain allowed itself to fall into mediocrity.

When I first moved to Florida back in 2001, Winn-Dixie had one of my go-to supermarkets. Back then, pretty much the big games in town were Winn-Dixie, Publix and Albertson's (do you remember Albertson's?). In the meantime, Albertson"s has pretty much disappeared and Winn-Dixie for years slipped into a string decline. One of the saddest things about the slippage in Winn-Dixie was the drop in quality in their meat department. Winn-Dixie once probably described itself as the "Beef People." As time progressed, Winn-Dixie started putting an emphasis on their cheaper "USDA Inspected, Not Graded" meat offerings instead of USDA Choice grade meat. Just remember the old adage that you get what you pay for. This meat is usually terrible.

Winn-Dixie finally noticed and has taken very proactive steps into addressing their decline. While they close some stores, the other ones received an expensive facelift. They also started putting an emphasis on USDA Choice beef again.

This particular Winn-Dixie is it good place to head towards to do a bit of food shopping. I would definitely recommend here.

Workers are pretty nice. Lines can be a little long at times, but deals are great. Always fresh produce and meats.

Deli is closed at random times during business hours for cleaning, but I'd rather have a freshly cleaned kitchen area and wait a bit.

Just moved to this area and I am minutes away from this Winn-Dixie so I thought might as well try it. Ever since I first stepped in, I knew this was my shopping place! First the veggie selection and fruit selection are awesome, and much larger and impressive than Publix stores. They have a nice organic section too. Nothing ever looks old or rotten. They also sell fresh juices, kombucha, etc. secondly- they always have awesome sales going on I am such a sucker for buying get one free. It saves me so much money! They usually have great sales especially in the meat section. Previously frozen whole lobsters are also only about 6$ each! Can't beat that. They have a nice deli, full of pre made items for grab and go- sandwiches etc. lastly- they always have a mystery bonus at the bottom of the recipes if you spend 30 or more dollars. With that I have been able to save sooo much money. Sometimes it's 21x the points and I get get 40$ or so off my next visit! I love this winnidixie and everyone is always so friendly and welcoming. There is a loss preventions officer always in front to monitor and make sure everyone is safe.

The worst customer service. Disrespectful and not friendly. Hard to tell who works there and how doesn't.

6:50 1 express lane open doing lotto and western union No visible manager and it's like this all the time!!!
I came only as an emergency Oh but wait they have a security guard making sure of loss prevention! Ha maybe work on customer service

The express/lottery/money gram line is also the line for cigarettes and for food stamp shoppers who always have too many items and need to have items removed from their purchase, making the express lane very slow.

I recently moved to the area and love having this store close to home, they always well stocked on everything I might need the place is a lot cleaner and organized than most with very friendly cashiers and staff !

Clean, well stocked, always great deals. Had a nice chat eith our checkout lady who had really nice magenta and brown braids in her hair. I love that WD does buy 1, get 1 free so often plus I really think their prices are lower than other chains overall. Guys in the deli are very helpful as are the stock guys. Oh and they have inexpensive coconut water! This is my husbands and my fave shopping place.

I entered the store as I felt a atmosphere that made my heart crap my pants. The staff was rude . the grocerys were over priced.
