Apparently these are all traditional Turkish folksongs, but they meld so well with each other and with Altin Gun's style that only a realhead would know. The production and texturality is king here, sounding faithful to the era of music they draw inspiration from while also sounding crisp, high quality and timeless. The closing track has an irresistable groove.

The spaces in between the notes. This reminds me a bit of Talking Heads around the time of "Fear of Music" It is a seemingly sparse arrangement that turn out to be 'just right'. And the Birds! Can't forget about the Birds :-)
