This antique grain sieve has wonderful character! Early round bentwood piece with heavy gauge wire and constructed with no nails. They were used on French farms to sift grain. Original antique with broken mesh and a bit of dust but it is an amazing piece to display. Amazing aged patina make it the perfect primitive display piece. Hang on wall alone or add some bottle brush trees for Christmas. Selling as is - very primitive piece but intact and sturdy. Note some broken wires, see photos. This listing is for a large and free standing black vintage cast iron terrier dog door stop. It could also be used for decorative purposes, and is perfect for vintage cast iron collectors or terrier dog enthusiasts. It measures right at 15 inches tall, 10 3/4 inches wide and has a maximum depth of about 4 3/4 inches. It has just the right amount of patina to provide it is not a reproduction -- rusty spots here and there. If you wanted to restore these few spots it would just take some rust removal (white vinegar) and perhaps a tiny bit of scrubbing, plus application of a small amount of flat black paint.
