In the entry to an 1885 Portland home, designer Jessica Helgerson and senior designer Chelsie Lee introduced the bold palette that runs throughout. A brightly colored, over-dyed Turkish rug offers a vibrant counterpoint to the rich, stately woodwork. On the landing's built-in, pillows made from silk scarves rest on cushions covered in cotton velvet fabric from Maharam. The brass ceiling fixture is by Bec Brittain.
