Tommy Kinnerup says his process starts with detailed research of the particular fish proportions, look and feel. “Then I simply draw the fish as I interpret it. I always strive to do this with my character designs, to get as much character into it as possible. Most of it’s done through a dynamic pose and the eyes. The level of details and lighting is purely to make it believable and appealing to look at.”
