Woodland Boar
Woodland Boars are recurring Creatures in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]
Characteristics
Breath of the Wild
Woodland Boars are stocky species of Boar, and they are known to be found all throughout Hyrule.[3] They are most common in Hyrule Field and the Lanayru Great Spring, though they are notably the only large animals found on the Great Plateau. Oftentimes, they forage for food in forests or meadows.[3]
Though uncommon, startled Woodland Boars may charge at Link in defense if they detect him.[3] This does not happen if Link is riding a Horse. However, Woodland Boars are more likely to flee if disturbed. When slain, Woodland Boars produce between one and two pieces of Raw Meat. Bokoblins will chase after Woodland Boars that wander near their Monster Strongholds, with the purpose of killing and eating them.

Trivia
- Both Woodland Boars and Red-Tusked Boars closely resemble wild boars, a species of large, tusked pigs native to the forests of Eurasia and parts of North Africa.

These medium-sized beasts can be found all throughout Hyrule. You can most often find them foraging for food in forests or meadows. Although usually docile, they won't hesitate to charge you full force if you get too close.
