MonOCR — OCR for the Mon Language

Mon is a UNESCO-classified vulnerable language, and had no OCR toolchain before this. MonOCR is the dataset, the models, and the tooling around them.

Two models — ~11.4M on-device, ~54M server — export to ONNX and CoreML. Verified samples feed the next training run.

Data Platforms

A public civic data platform at ~10K active users (2.8K peak daily), and a research platform serving policy data near-real-time.

Cut data update time from hours to minutes.

System Migration & Cost Reduction

Led a migration to a simpler design, cutting infrastructure cost by ~33%. The case was a prototype: the old setup added cost without the scaling to match.

Rebuilt the data pipelines and added backup and recovery.

Event-driven ERP & AI Messaging Platform

Designed and built the ERP, public portal, and AI-assisted messaging system NOSBAAN runs on.

Async processing isolates failures and keeps heavy workloads off the request path. k6-gated in CI, holding P95 ~1.06s at 120 concurrent users.
